Man has a terrible flaw called sin; and sin is not only what man does, it is part of what he is. In the “fall,” man became “spiritually depraved and alienated from his creator.” By spiritually depraved, we mean that even man’s spirituality is too flawed to be trusted. A sickness has overtaken our race that causes even our good intentions to go astray.
